Our Pro Staff
Boaz Segev – Golf Head Professional
Previously a basketball player in the Premier League, Boaz studied golf in the U.S. and returned to Israel in 2006. Since then, he has coached at the club as an instructor and training manager, and has been serving as the professional manager since 2014. With thousands of hours of study and training, Boaz is able to coach golf at all levels and can pass on the “golf bug” to anyone who is exposed to this special game. Boaz also has extensive knowledge of the rules of the game and has proven experience in managing a variety of local and international competitions. Boaz is a member of the PGA of Israel and has been the Director of the golf school and academy since 2007.
Penny Halfon
A veteran instructor in Israel and a student of the club’s first professional manager, Charlie Mendelstam. Penny has unparalleled knowledge and experience in teaching golf and imparting its values and ethics. While considered an excellent instructor in all that is related to the fundamentals of the swing and the game, Penny also provides simple and fun lessons on the course that will help anyone in the understanding and the way of golf. Penny is a member of the PGA of Israel and an instructor at the club’s golf school.
Ron Solomon
Ron immigrated to Israel from Canada in 2006 where he worked as a sports teacher and golf coach within the Canadian education system. Ron has been an instructor in all of the golf courses at the club since 2006 and is also considered one of the best players in Israel in the Masters category. As part of his role, Ron instructs all levels and ages, including at the golf school and the youth academy. Ron is a member of the PGA of Israel and a graduate of the IPE program on behalf of the PGA of Europe.
Tamar Partush
Born in France, Tamar has been playing golf since she immigrated to Israel in 1983. She graduated from the Israel golf school under the first professional manager of the club, Charlie Mendelstam, has won championships held at the club and Israel as well as a gold medal at the Maccabiah Games. Tamar has been teaching golf for 17 years for a wide range of abilities and ages, coaches the IDF disabled team, and instructs children at the golf school and academy. Tamar speaks for herself: “Golf is my life’s work. I love to play, teach and be part of the development of the sport in Israel.” Tamar is a member of the PGA of Israel and a graduate of the IPE program on behalf of the PGA of Europe.
David Spielberg
David studied golf in the U.S. and is an excellent player with extensive experience playing on hundreds of courses around the world. David brings with him a unique approach and the ability to connect with a wide variety of people of all ages who come to learn golf. David is a graduate of the Ben Hogan Method and will always find ways to meet the needs and desires of each student while having fun and developing love for the game.
Danny Alkobi
Danny grew up and flourished at the golf club since childhood, and previously has won the titles of Israeli Champion and Club Champion. As an instructor, Danny places great emphasis on the basics of the game, and each of his students can be sure that they have received the best possible foundation.
