In this role, you will design, establish and integrate reliability methodology in mechanical environment, while partnering to provide outstanding added value to the organization within quality standards.
As part of the role, you will be involved in the following areas:
Be a part of a design team of multi-disciplinary systems
Leading technical aspects of mechanical engineering, layout and design
Defining mechanical concept of a system and sub-modules
Ensuring standards for all practices to maximize efficiency
Generating engineering release documentation and verifying its accuracy against the applicable rules and standards
Managing prototype vendors for parts fabrication
Assembling prototype systems and testing these to validate design
Working in a matrix environment with multiple interfaces
Working in a dynamic environment with short project cycles and quick time-to-market projects B.Sc. in Mechanical engineering from an acknowledged academic institute
5+ years of experience as a Design Engineer
Experience in leading product design activities from concept to released product
Experience in manufacturing methods such as sheet metal, machining, die-cast (raw and secondary operations), injection molding, etc.
Experience in fixture and tool design
Knowledge and proficiency in the following SW tools: Solidworks, Auto-Cad, Microsoft Office – must. PLM, Adobe Illustrator, Flow simulation – advantage
Knowledge and experience of PLC design disciplines such as PDR, CDR, DTC, Production files, BOM, ECO, MCO etc.
Experience in production support such as NC, FAI, NPI, etc.
Experience in electrical packaging, cable management, thermal design – advantage
Experience in creating CAD 2D PCB mechanical layouts and heights (‘DXF’ files) – advantage
A quick learner, self-motivated, creative and analytical individual with excellent communication capabilities who knows how to work well both independently and as part of a team.
High level of proficiency in English
