Develop and maintain a SRE Linux services
Provide platforms and services for various needs, including
Network services and equipment
On-Premises hosting of VM’s and Containers
Integration with existing services, such as Samba, NFS, NIS, LDAP, DHCP
Proactively monitor and maintain systems
Monitor system performance and capacity needs
Analyze logs, find faults and fix performance problems
Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware
Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks (mostly in Shell and Python)
Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes
Experience in planning in a Software Engineering spirit (SRE Linux services)
4+ years of experience in Linux systems administration
Experience with VM’s and Linux containers
Experience in implementing and debugging services down to the platform level
Excellent knowledge of modern Linux tools
Good knowledge in networking
Experience in managing a support team – advantage
Good skills in interpersonal communication, teamwork, and independent learning
Very good English, both spoken and written
